Dental Care

Dental care is a tool used to share the gospel in communities and areas where people have no access to health services.

Using portable dental equipment including dental units, chairs, sterilizers and surgical instruments and surgical complete, we setup multiple systems and see patients simultaneously. Using school halls, temples, churches, community halls or just homes equipment is setup to treat and serve men, women and in particular many children who have dental needs.

The treatments performed include extractions, minor surgery, restorations (fillings) of silver amalgam, composite resin restorations, TCR (root canal treatments), cleanings and topical fluoride applications.

The most important aspect of this ministry is to show the love of God by using our talent and knowledge to provide free dental treatment; this love is what we want to
show to each person sitting in the dental chair. We also strive for every patient to hear the message of salvation while waiting to be served.

We are currently working in the departments of Izabal and Sacatepéquez, visiting communities and villages, typically one week each month. And eventually we made fixtures in a day or two, in communities in other departments of the country, attending a number of patients ranging from 15 to 100 a day, depending on the number of dentists who support us.

We also have two dental clinics in the city, one in zone 12 and the other permanently in Mixco. They provide support to the community with treatments at very low prices.  Also,
free comprehensive dental care is provided to many pastors, missionaries and workers and
their families. We plan to open other clinics in churches inside and outside the city to continue using dentistry as a tool to preach the gospel.
